Bank accounts for labor children working on Kabul streets
Report: Noor Agha Adil
The labor children recently opened bank accounts with the initiative of Mr. Farhad Darya (Afghan famous singer). Mr. Darya’s opinion is to improve the economical infrastructures of these poor children’s families so that their families won’t have to send their kids to work on the streets.
According to BBC, Mr. Darya has opened bank accounts for 2000 labor children with the initial opening amount from his personnel bank account. He added that the target is to help the poor children families and motivate them to allow their children to join schools. The 2000 children have been selected from Kabul city, but the long term strategy is to help all needy children around the country.
Mr. Darya added that to achieve the target and help these poor children, he will have some concerts across Europe and USA to grab the attention of Aid Agencies and private donors.
Mr. Darya had a concert with some of the street children labors of Kabul city via Radio and Television of Afghanistan RTA last year. The program’s title was kocha (street) and it was praised by Independent Commission of Human Rights.
